Marcelle Charrois ~Transformational Author ~ Pearls of Wisdom

In an earlier post, I introduced you to Marcelle Charrois, a Transformational Author, who is determined to step into happiness.  She joyfully sings, “I’m Coming OUT!”  In our previous discussion, Marcelle shared her earliest experiences with us. We learned that she has two siblings with special needs, was challenged by the name she was given, was devastated by her Mother’s early death, and was shaken to the core by her own health breakdown 4 years ago.

Rather than saying “Woe is Me,” Marcelle seized her power and, through her actions, exclaimed: “This is not the way the story ends! This is only the beginning.” These events prompted her to move forward into uncharted territory and to jump into the land of possibilities. We learned that Marcelle used her writing as a way to heal her pain and used her wounds to access her wisdom.

In her healing process, she reconnected to the “Alien” in her closet. Feeling very lost, she reconnected with her inner child and released her creativity. Marcelle generously offered you her mini book and lots of wonderful exercises with its accompanying online journal. You can access the outcome of Marcelle’s creativity and get her FREE e-book by clicking here.

I promised you that I would follow up with a blog article to share with you what came next. After writing The Alien in Your Closet, Marcelle was invited to contribute to the Pearls of Wisdom anthology. In the interview below, she explains that she claimed the last spot in the book and got the wonderful news one month prior to Christmas Eve.

What a lovely early Christmas present!

She learned that she would be sharing her story along with Jack Canfield, Marci Shimoff, Chris Attwood and Janet Bray Attwood. Marcelle was overjoyed to add her voice, to join these self-care experts and to share her story in hopes of inspiring you.

Marcelle took her “grains of sand” to create her chapter in Pearls of Wisdom. In the following audio interview, Marcelle shares more details on how her work led her to make this contribution and inspires us to give voice to our unspoken dreams.

For even more inspiration, pause and listen to Marcelle’s interview on the Pearls of Wisdom Telesummit. I enjoyed hearing Marcelle describe how adversity brought her forward to this harvest of gold and I believe you will find lots of nuggets to help you launch your own Individualized Empowerment Plan.

Meet Sandra Pearson, Co-Host, “An IEP for Me,” Group Coaching Program

Sandra is blessed to be Elisabeth and Matthew’s Mom. Her son Matthew has Autism and although he is high functioning, he does have his share of challenges. When Elisabeth and Matthew were young, Sandra and her husband got divorced and they moved in with Sandra’s Mother. Within 6 months, Sandra’ Mom passed away and Sandra felt as though she had been abandoned.

She struggled to find her place in this world -- as a mother, as a businesswoman, and as a person. She didn’t take good care of herself and didn’t feel like she was taking good care of her children. She was introduced to some wonderful self-help mentors and a personal coach, all of whom helped her start my journey and find her way.

Today Sandra feels that she is a better mother, a good businesswoman, and a better person. She doesn’t believe that she could have done it on her own. As Matthew’s Mom and the owner and founder Of Our Special Families Village she has been blessed to build relationships with People with Special Needs, their Families, Special Needs Service Providers and many others. Today, Matthew is thriving, Sandra’s thriving and together they have a lot of fun!

At times it was a tough journey, but Sandra tells me that she can honestly say that she wouldn’t change a thing. She is thrilled to co-facilitate “An IEP for Me!” because she knows that working with mentors can transform your life. We can’t wait to share this journey with you!

Introducing Marcelle Charrois – Transformational Author – Chapter 1: Early Ripples, Family Dynamics

I met Marcelle a few weeks ago at a Transformational Author’s Retreat and I’m delighted to introduce you to her. I quickly learned that Marcelle is a prolific author and photograher who loves to sing! She has a heart of gold, a wonderful sense of humor and is coming out in big way! I can still hear Marcelle singing the famous Diana Ross song: “I’m Coming Out!”

Marcelle has many titles. She’s a loving daughter and sister, a dedicated worker, and a Transformational Author who has three books to her credit:

• “The Alien in Your Closet, Open the Door To Yor Inner Child and Unleash Your True Destiny”
• “Pearls of Wisdom, 30 Inspirational Ideas to Live Your  Best Life Now!”
• “Pebbles in the Pond, Transforming the World One Person at a Time”

Marcelle has written her own book, “The Alien in Your Closet,” and contributed chapters to both “Pearls of Wisdom” and “Pebbles in the Pond” in the last three years, while serving as an Ambassador of Change at the Messenger Network. As one looks at Marcelle today, it is hard to imagine that this powerhouse was suffering mightily just a few years ago. As Marcelle explains in our interview, her life was not always easy. Marcelle grew up as the “helper,” in her family…helping her Mom, her Dad and her older sisters, both of whom had special needs, to get through their days. She felt she had to be “perfect” and tried “not to rock the boat,” as her world was already shaking and her parents did not need any more “on their plates.” In the interview above, Marcelle describes how the death of her Mom and her own illness three years ago, served to get her mobilized and inspired to do the work she was meant to do.

I understood what Marcelle was describing as I grew up in a similar household where my brother’s needs were greater than my own. In an effort to stabilize my world, I learned to retreat and to be quiet. It was noisy in my house and I did not want to cause my parents any more headaches or heartaches, so I learned to conform and to help others. Like Marcelle, I lost my voice for many years and did not come out as myself until my Mom passed. Feeling my Mom died without the support she needed, I decided, I could no longer remain quiet. I decided to offer support to Moms and to Families with Special Needs and have lots to share. I recently posted several articles on my website and one in particular speaks to what siblings want parents and service providers to know. You can link to this article here.

In future blog articles, Marcelle will discuss “Pearls of Wisdom”, “Pebbles in the Pond” and What Comes Next. To learn more about Marcelle and get her free E-book, “The Alien in Your Closet, Open the Door To Yor Inner Child and Unleash Your True Destiny,” please visit her True 2 Heart Living Website: http://www.true2heartliving.com/

WRITING TEAZURS: Interview with Kimberly Burnham, PhD and featured …: Kimberly Burnham, Phd., is the only author so far to have two interviews running on my blog. Way to go Kimberly! You are an amazing person …

Kimberly Burnham, Colleen O’Grady and I are Pebbles in the Pond, Transformational Authors and we share a common mission: We all want to inspire Mom to embrace hope, when she is at the end of her rope.
